Bury’s roofs
The borough of Bury stretches from the edge of Manchester to the hills. Prestwich and Whitefield have a lot of interwar and post-war semis and some large older houses. Radcliffe and Bury town mix terraces from the mill era with newer estates. North of the town, Tottington, Summerseat and Ramsbottom have stone terraces and cottages, often with stone slate or slate roofs, set against the moors.
There are plenty of bungalows across the borough too, and their roofs, fascias and soffits are a regular job.
The jobs that come up most
- Bungalow re-roofs, like the hip roof in Jon’s photos. See new roofs.
- Fascias, soffits and guttering on post-war houses and bungalows. See fascias and soffits.
- Roof inspections for people buying older homes. See roof inspections.
- Repairs to exposed roofs in the north of the borough after high winds. See roof repairs.
